My name is Joshua Heinrichs and Fresh and Safe is my company.
Food and agriculture is in my blood. I planted my first crop of barley in my sandbox and at 6 years old I sold my first wagon load of butternut squash door to door.
My teenage holidays were spent harvesting sweet cherries in the summer sun and pressing icewine through winter nights.
In my career I’ve worked alongside some incredibly talented entrepreneurs who are the hidden force behind many of the products we know and love.
I have worked with many of the global top 10 Retailers and Consumer Product Manufacturers along with customers in North & South America, Africa, Europe and Asia.
My experience has been detailed at every level from market research, trial batching, process development, writing checklists, designing procedures and trouble shooting.
I’ve also been hands on in the plant and in the field, tracking and refining the complete process from ground prep to harvest to processor and final customer.
I led my first complete SQF implementation in 2013 and I am trained as an SQF Auditor by the SQF Institute.
Each year, my work affects over $200 million in safe, healthy food around the world.
